The Construction Induction Card (formerly Red Card Training), is now known as the nationally recognised White card. This card will qualify you to work safely in the construction industry. This course is recognised by WorkSafe Victoria in the registration of construction workers for OH&S induction.
Under WorkSafe Victoria requirements, all persons participating in on-site activities in the building and construction industry must undertake Construction Induction Card training prior to entering a construction workplace. Topics include: OH&S legislative requirements, construction hazards and control measures, OH&S communication and reporting processes, and OH&S incident response procedures.
At the completion of the Construction Induction Card course, participants will be issued with a statement of attainment on the day of training. This statement, which is valid for 60 days, allows the participant to perform construction work while WorkSafe Victoria processes their Construction Induction Card.
This qualification is nationally recognised under the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF).
The Construction Induction Card course will provide credit for the unit of competency CPCCOHS1001A Work Safely in the Construction Industry.
