COURSE DESCRIPTION
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply highly specialised knowledge and skills in the field of organisational learning and capability development. Individuals in these roles generate and evaluate complex ideas. They also initiate, design and execute major learning and development functions within an organisation. Typically, they would have full responsibility and accountability for the personal output and work of others. This qualification may apply to leaders and managers in an organisation where learning is used to build organisational capability. The job roles that relate to this qualification may also include RTO Manager and RTO Director.
TARGET MARKET
The target market for this course is international students:
- who possess an appropriate visa that allows them to study at an Australian registered CRICOS provider.
- who wish to undertake this course to access further study or employment opportunities.
- who have successfully completed year 12 or secondary studies in their home country or in Australia.
- with little or no vocational experience.
- who are 21 years of age at course commencement.
Information on course demands and expectations will be clearly communicated to all students prior to enrolment.
COURSE DURATION AND DEMANDS
The duration of 80 weeks of study time, plus 24 weeks of holidays, over 104 weeks, is considered suitable for the target learner cohort as learners will be able to apply the knowledge and skills learned in the course to their workplaces or, if not working, to the stimulated workplaces and case studies presented in the course. This will aid their understanding of the knowledge and concepts in the course. Learners may take longer to complete the course requirements, or by negotiation with the RTO, complete the course over a shorter period.
*The duration and schedule will consider the need for students to fully gain and develop the skills and knowledge that the assessment will assess. Allowing for variations of some students due to specific learning needs and time for students to reflect on their learning and practice the skills and knowledge in a real or simulated workplace prior to presenting for assessment.
ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS
- Successful completion of a three (3) year bachelor’s degree from any country or Completed AQF level 5 (Diploma Level) or higher Qualification in Australia.
- A minimum IELTS score of 6.0 with no band less than 5.5 or equivalent.
MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT
- Australian Institute of Professionals will only enrol learners who are over 21 years of age at commencement of this qualification.

ASSESSMENT

Each unit is assessed individually. Each unit contains two or more assessment tasks that are undertaken in class / workshop or in the student’s own time. All assessment activities will be conducted by AIP Assessors.

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING (RPL) AND CREDIT TRANSFER (CT)
All students are provided with the opportunity to have their prior learning and experience assessed and gain recognition for this. Students who have successfully completed whole units of competency with an Australian Registered Training Organisation that are identical to any of those contained within this course can apply for Credit Transfer.
